Kwun is a UK singer, songwriter and producer whose music moves fluidly across a wide spectrum of styles and influences, from rock, soul and Americana through to cinematic, orchestral and rhythm-driven compositions. Bringing together expansive arrangements, intimate songwriting and a strong sense of atmosphere, his work creates an immersive and emotionally resonant sound world that resists easy categorisation.
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Kwun draws inspiration from classic songwriting traditions while embracing a borderless and exploratory approach to music-making. His songs balance the personal with the expansive, exploring themes of transformation, presence and emotional honesty through richly layered production and emotionally direct writing.
His forthcoming debut album Ancient Ageless & True is an ambitious body of work developed across multiple locations including Glastonbury, Mexico and India. Moving between large-scale cinematic passages, gospel and soul influences, rhythm-driven energy and intimate reflective moments, the album unfolds as a complete listening journey while allowing each piece to stand independently.
Tracks such as the tender ‘Soft Animal’, described as “gorgeous” by Jamie Catto (Faithless, 1 Giant Leap), sit alongside the soul and gospel-influenced ‘Sovereignty’, the rhythmic energy of ‘Cuíca’, and the orchestral centrepiece ‘Interlude’. Influenced by a long-standing interest in consciousness and the emotional impact of sound, Kwun records and tunes his music to 432 Hz as part of his creative approach.
Produced by Kwun, the album features contributions from musicians and engineers whose credits include Amy Winehouse, Hans Zimmer, Snarky Puppy and The Rolling Stones.
Kwun’s work has previously received multiple international awards for the music video ‘Supernatural’, while publications including Wonderland and EARMILK have praised his emotionally resonant and thought-provoking approach to songwriting.
